Charles Phethean

1890 – 30th March 1918. Manchester Regiment (5th Battalion)

Charles Phethean was a former Manchester FC player who was killed during the Spring Offensive in 1918. He was a captain in the 10th Manchesters, and the youngest son of John Phethean of Woodside, Bolton.

Phethean is buried at Hangard Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme. Grave 1.1. 14.
